About Me
A space to set down what you’ve been carrying
I know how it feels to hold a lot—whether it’s caring for others, keeping things together, or moving through major life changes. You may be the one your friends, family, or colleagues turn to for support. But when it comes to your own struggles, it can feel harder to find a place where you don’t have to carry it all alone.
Therapy can be that space. A place where you don’t need to perform, explain, or hold back. A place where your inner world is met with curiosity and compassion.
Who I am
My name is Carolina Lancastre, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. I work primarily with adults navigating transitions—whether those are shifts in family roles, career paths, identity, or simply seasons of life that feel uncertain or overwhelming.
Clients often describe me as warm, validating, and direct. I’m not the kind of therapist who only nods and listens; I’ll sit with you in the hard places while also helping you move toward clarity and change.
How I work
My style blends both depth and practicality. Sometimes therapy looks like gently exploring long-held patterns, and sometimes it’s about finding tangible ways to feel steadier in daily life.
I draw from approaches such as:
Internal Family Systems (IFS): helping you get to know and heal the different “parts” of yourself.
EMDR: a research-based method for processing trauma and painful memories.
Somatic and trauma-informed work: reconnecting body and mind in ways that support healing.
Psychodynamic therapy: understanding how past experiences shape present struggles.
Together, we’ll follow what feels most alive and relevant for you.
What you can expect
In our sessions, you can expect:
A space that is non-judgmental and client-centered.
A balance between gentle exploration and clear direction.
Validation of what you’ve been through, paired with support to move forward.
The goal is not just to cope, but to grow—to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels grounded, empowered, and more at peace.
